EAA Chapter 382, Xenia, Ohio
We're the
Huffman Prairie Chapter in Greene County, Ohio.
First chartered
in 1971
at Springfield-Beckley Airport, we
relocated to Greene County
Lewis A. Jackson Airport in 1991.
We're into flying and fun,
airplane building, and
spreading the story of aviation. As often
as
possible, we try to fly-out to a good
eating spot or site
to see. Five of our members are at
various stages in their construction
projects (we're big on Van's RVs.). We try for a variety
of guest
speakers on aviation history at our monthly gatherings. Over
the last few years,
we have sponsored local visits of the EAA B-17, the National Air Tour of
vintage planes,
and the P-51C of the Red Tail Project, commemorating the
Tuskegee Airmen. Our main
on-going
project is dedicated to introducing kids to flying through an active Young
Eagle program.
